Advanced Condition Assessments

Using a thermal imaging camera (non-destructive testing) we are able to survey any structure, system or process that generates heat, for temperature pattern exceptions. We often utilise other testing tools and in combination, are able to survey a range of situations which include but are not limited to surveys of houses, commercial/institutional buildings, manufacturing plants, industrial processes, marine vessels, medical/veterinary subjects and landfill sites.

Residential applications:

Badly sealed doors are one of the major sources of air infiltration into our housing stock.Damaged or missing insulation is indicated by the dark patch in the IR image, note there is no visual evidence of this problem in the visual image.

Commercial applications:

Compare the heat transfer occurring from the windows of this ground level old style office space and that of the space above and the newer office building across the intersection. The heat transfer occurring from the basement of this building through a poorly insulated roller door.

Industrial applications:

Two cooling fan racks, showing one fan at a significant temperature difference to the others. Here the running temperature of a mechanical component (bearing) and a hydraulic system can be seen.

Other/Scientific applications:

These three IR images of a persons feet shows that the persons right foot has a significantly elevated temperature.

We provide you the end user with a comprehensive written qualitative report which includes infrared and visual images of the exceptions found during the survey. In addition we have the ability to produce a 30 minute IR video of temperature pattern exceptions. With this information at your disposal you will be in a position to plan ahead, reduce excess heat generation, save energy, achieve efficiency and help create a safer and healthier environment in which to work and live.

Contact me now and we will be able to discuss the best time to carry out a survey for you.
